SHS Class of 1974: 45th Reunion Update

Savannah High School Class of 1974 45^th Reunion

WHEN: Saturday, June 15, 2019, from 4PM – 11PM.

WHERE: Captain Butler’s Retreat, 115 Penrose Drive, Savannah, GA 31410

WHAT: Grads and friends from Savannah High School Class of 1974, join fellow classmates for a casual afternoon and evening together. Gather from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. to reconnect with friends and enjoy games and music. You are invited to bring an appetizer or dessert to share and you may also BYOB.

Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. We will provide a low country boil, soft drinks, tea, plus beer and wine during the dinner hour. You may BYOB if you like. After dinner, we’ll have live jam session featuring a reunion of our Charles Ellis 6th grade band, The Mixups, with other featured classmates from SHS and Charles Ellis. Then we will kick off our shoes and dance the night away as a deejay spins our favorite songs from the 70s and beyond.

COST: $25 per person in advance (by June 7) and $30 at the door.

45th Reunion Set for June 2019

Our SHS 1974 Reunion events will begin on Saturday, June 21st, with a drop-in BRUNCH  from 9:30 – 11:00 AM. You do not have to sign up and it is free of charge but we would like to know if you’re coming so we can get an idea of how much food to prepare.

Bucky and Barry Set to Entertain at SHS 1974 Reunion

The SHS ’74 Reunion Committee is pleased to announce that our classmates, Bucky and Barry, have been booked for the reunion! They will provide live entertainment and will also serve as DJs, spinning up some classic 70s hits for our dining and dancing pleasure.

SHS Class of ’74 Flash Mob at City Market

Thanks to everyone who turned out for our mini-reunion event at City Market on Saturday, May 3rd. With just a few weeks to go, we are excited about all of the sign-ups coming in and hope more of you will decide to join us for an evening of dining and dancing on Saturday, June 21. The cost is only $50 and includes a wonderful dinner, entertainment by Bucky and Barry, door prizes, a silent auction and a cash bar. We are also having a drop-in brunch that morning followed by a tour of the old SHS building. We will send additional details by email to everyone who signs up. Even if you can’t attend, please fill out the sign up form so we have your contact info. You do not have to be a 1974 SHS grad to attend our reunion events.

April 29, 2014 – We have learned that Bucky and Barry have had a change of plans and will not be playing at City Market this Sunday. So we are rescheduling our “SHS REUNION FLASH MOB” event for this Saturday, May 3. Please join fellow SHS 1974 classmates and friends at City Market from 5-8 PM.
